Hi, I'm Melik. I build full-stack apps, smart contracts, vision models.

Fourth-year computer engineering student at Gebze Technical University. Most of my free time goes into projects with the university's blockchain society, and a couple of them won prizes at ETHGlobal Prague and ETHRome.

What I work on

Smart contracts

Solidity contracts, escrow, commit-reveal schemes. Most of my hackathon builds live here.

Vision & inference

I trained a YOLOv8n model for a safety inspection robot, and during my internship I built a Bayesian symptom checker.

Full-stack applications

React and React Native front ends on top of Express or Spring Boot APIs. I like taking things all the way to a real deploy.

Trade skills for time. One TIME token is one hour of someone's work.

ERC-20 token, an escrow contract and a reputation system. Won the Blockscout Big Explorer Pool Prize out of 800+ participants.

ENS track prizeETHRome 2025

BitBrawlers

Mint a cat, level it up, make it fight other people's cats. All on-chain.

Every cat gets its own ENS subdomain, like shadow-warrior.deployer.eth. It won a prize in the ENS track.

PPE detection

The vision module of an autonomous safety inspection robot. It spots missing helmets, vests and goggles on a Raspberry Pi 5.

Details: PPE detection

Course project. I trained a YOLOv8n model on a Roboflow dataset and exported it to ONNX so it runs on the Pi's CPU. Detections go out as MQTT events.

Obscura

Monad Blitz Istanbul 2025

Anonymous voting and sealed-bid auctions on Monad, using commit-reveal.

You commit a hash first and reveal the value later, so nobody sees votes or bids until the round closes.

Underground Music Discovery

Finds artists you haven't heard yet, using your Spotify and Last.fm history plus some AI analysis.

Details: Underground Music Discovery

Spring Boot 3 API on Java 21 with an Expo client. Flyway runs the migrations and Resilience4j keeps flaky third-party calls from taking the app down.

PayTak

A ride-sharing app where payments are staked in a smart contract and split automatically.

Course project. I was PM and Scrum Master for a team of five and also handled the deploy: APK builds, hosting and the domain.

Rac'fella

ETHIstanbul 2025

A privacy-first mental health assistant that mixes cognitive behavioral finance therapy with blockchain.

It tracks emotions and suggests interventions, and the data stays decentralized.

    Computer Engineering Intern

    Wrote PHP integration nodes for the PUQ AI workflow platform (APIs, auth, webhooks, tests). Also built a symptom-checking engine with Bayesian and log-odds inference that picks the next question by information gain.

    GTU Blockchain Student Society

    Software Team Vice President

    I led the society's software team, ran Git and smart contract workshops, and helped newer members ship their first projects. Our teams won prizes at several hackathons.
